We decided to give this restaurant a try for breakfast. It's very unassuming when you pull in but this restaurant is a great place for a meal. The service was great and there were quite a few people eating there and their orders looked delicious. We ordered the two egg breakfast, one with ham and the other with bacon. Both were delicious, and the food was served hot. The hash browns were so good and you get a good portion. We will certainly eat here again when we travel back through here.

Also, Breakfast is served all day.

Two recommendations: biscuits and pie! Oh yum. Compliments to the grill for poaching an egg perfectly hard also. Nice team work by the servers. Parking options if you are pulling a trailer.

If you are looking for a diner, this is the place. Seems to be a popular place for locals being on the west end of town out of the hustle and bustle of the greater downtown Cortez center where the town seems to cater more to travelers. There are some unique menu items that I would have liked to try if I had more time, but generally, it's "diner" food. I found the breakfast to be enjoyable, and it hit the spot before hitting the road, leaving town. If you like diners like I do, then I certainly would recommend this place.

Stopped while passing through, specifically because my husband wanted chicken fried steak! Was not disappointed! Everything was hot and delicious, and more than we could eat! Now we have snacks for on the road!! Highly recommend the chive fries!

Lovely local breakfast place. We appreciate the senior selections. The biscuits are fantastic, light, fluffy, tasty. Also, you can get white gravy without sausage (or with). Don't miss the fruit bar: 13 kinds of fresh ripe fruit!

We found this coffee shop kinda by chance....we were staying in Cortez for the night and needed to eat breakfast on our 1st day there ....and found the Ute Coffee shop, it was delicious!!!! Service that morning was excellent and the food WOW!! So, the next morning before we left we went back!! The waitress was all alone serving, and she was good!! Did not skip a beat!! If you stop or pass through Cortez Co. stop at the Ute Coffee shop, you will not be disappointed

Great food. Great service. A wonderful little local restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu is simple comfort food. Generous portions, reasonable prices and delicious. I had the French dip with some of the best fries, ever. My wife had the burger and fries. FYI, They don't serve alcohol. If you're passing through or staying awhile we recommend the Ute Coffee Shop.
