I have a 1977 VW bus that wasn’t running and had a number of deferred maintenance issues that needed work. Luis explained in detail what was needed and did a great job of taking care of everything. The bus runs better than when I bought new in 1977!

I had alot of work done on my 66 bug and the owner did a great job. Very helpful and he explained everything he did, what I could do and his prices were very fair. I will continue to take my car there for other future upgrades or service.

Charged $45 just to look at my old bug plus ten for a new gas cap. Went again because I was told to hold for a minute on the phone and he never called again for an hour, so I decided to go there personally. It nearly took me 30 miles to get there. When I arrived the guy in the front was just having a friendly conversation with a guy. I just wanted to get my bug checked if it had any problems. Starting my bug to leave, it began to stall. I looked back inside the store, the two guys where laughing at me( a costumer and the clerk). 1 week later my bug broke down. Wasn't worth the trip and never again.

Formerly known as save a bug Josh and Luis have taken over as sab imports which Still offers the great parts and service information needed to keep all our air cooled VW'S going. If you want honest answers and service give them a call or stop by. They also have lots of parts available in stock if you like to do it yourself.

I have shopped here for many years and have always been happy with their service. If you have a VW this is the place to get you hard to find items....... And to SirRedemption, no auto parts house will take returns on electrical parts because there is no way to tell if you have used it or not and you may be returning a defective part and they don't want to take a chance on selling to someone else. So make sure you need the part before buying it !

Just not sure about this company.. mixed and cavalier service, support is not consistent, can't reach them by telephone, left voicemails and didn't get answers. What few parts I bought there were ok and reasonably price, hours of operation are ok but they only seem to be helpful with walk in customers, and even then there isn't anybody at the counter, a person has to ring for help. They're inconsistent because the first time I called them they answered and they don't seem to have ever answered since.

It is my second time taking my 2001 VW Beetle to them for work and both times I have been treadted well at a reasonable price. Excellent communication, I was kept informed of the status.
