The location is amazing. Directly accessible to the riverwalk. It is pretty much the standard Marriott that you would get however the concierge lounge in not open on all days or even 24 hrs on the days it is open - and no provision for some complimentary coffee in lieu of the lounge. Majority of the staff seems like it is new as the service and responses to questions is very inconsistent. Due to an issue with the bedding in our room that I discovered close to midnight when we got back from our sightseeing, I called the front desk. I was offered a different room but was told that a different configuration is available and that no other room with 2 queens was available. Then the security person showed up with spare bedsheets and said that there is no one who can change the bedsheets and I would have had to do it myself. I called the front desk again and had to inform about my Elite status before they offered me a new room with the configuration of my choice. This shouldn’t have been the case and they should offered that in the first go, an example of inconsistent service. While the hotel gave me half off on the room rate and a few points, the part that bothered me was that nobody serving as the hotel staff can appropriately change the bedsheets. In addition to that, there was a confusion with the breakfast host at the Blue restaurant about the type of breakfast I was entitled to. In short, not a big fan of the service here but the hotel was in a great location. Next I’d rather try the JW Marriott down the riverfront street.

We needed assistance with identifying entertainment and tourist attractions so we asked Chris Edscorn, concierge. He did not disappoint! He has exceptional knowledge regarding attractions, special events and more. He was friendly and attentive to our questions and goals for our visit. Great work!||The hotel was perfect. Beautiful and quality hotel, extra nice furnishings. Spacious riverfront room with balcony, comfortable pillows and chairs. Very friendly and cheerful staff, they made us feel that they were happy that we chose the Marriott Savannah Riverfront hotel for our stay.

Food was the first C rating. The concierge lounge very tiny room,no atmosphere, felt like eating in a dull closet. There were piles of used dishes in the corner. The fruit was excellent, plenty of water, no signs to state what the food was. I asked for gluten free bread, which the attendant was very excited to tell me she had a bagel. She returned 20 minutes later and explained she had to defrost the bagel and would fix it. Before I could say anything she was cutting the bagel with cross contaminated bagel cutter and quickly place the bagel in the toaster which is also contaminated. She was so excited to help, couldn’t tell her this would make me sick. So the bagel was wrapped in a napkin, smile and said,, “I’ll take it to go” This is a far cry from any M club I’ve been to.|Suggestion don’t stay on the first floor as the noise from the ballroom and kitchen can be very loud. The font desk personal were kind. Unfortunately have to report seeing a roach run across the dresser as I was packing up to leave. Yes, killed it. Enclosing I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is well situated right on the Savannah river. It's a generic Marriott - same as the ones you stayed in the 1990s. The design is exactly the same, they just did some poorly executed upgrades. All the light fixtures are showing 30yr old age. The wall texture, carpet, walls, everything show moisture damage. You can smell it when you walk in - moisture everywhere. It's like the air conditioners don't dump the condensation anywhere but the floor. Our conference room had half functioning lighting so we couldn't really use the projector - the light right above the screen was stuck at full brightness. Is it better than a motel8? Sure. But For how much this was a night (over $200) - it's not a value proposition. I complained to the front desk about the unannounced water cutoff the night before and they were like "oh well". We had just gotten back from a long night out and I wanted a shower. Nope. They had put up a tiny notice in the elevator area that doesn't exactly catch your eye. Who turns off water to an occupied hotel?

Outstanding experience!! I get to Savannah 1-2 times:year, have been staying here for years and have never had anything less than a great stay! Jovana at the front desk was especially awesome this visit. Fantastic location, right on the river and in the middle of the best of Savannah’s downtown activity. Allowed for early check-in and late check out with no questions ask and no hassle, room was cleaned to perfection. Had a great night sleep.

We had a lovely stay in the Marriot Savannah. Riverfront The accommodations were great. We especially loved the service at the lounge. Brittney and Harsh took great care of us and we looked forward to our nightly visit with them. The recommendations for what to see in do were so helpful!! We will be back.

Overall experience was positive. Upon check-in had requested a king bed but there was no availability. We had questions about options available on the manager on staff wasn't very friendly. Thankfully we talked with someone else the next day who was more understanding and at least listened to our concerns.

My husband and I chose to celebrate my birthday in Savannah. I chose this Marriott because I have attended many conferences at the location and love the service but this time was over and beyond. I mentioned to Alexandra that we were there to celebrate my birthday and asked for the best available room at the price I paid. Because we arrived two hours before check-in she looked hard to find us a room. We were placed in room 219 which was perfect! We were able to see the restaurant at n the 1st floor, room was right next to the ice machine, and steps away from the “BLUE” restaurant and the exit that leads to the boardwalk. We unpacked the car and walked the boardwalk and took our time to take in the sites. When we returned, I took a bath and when I got out the shower, my husband said a lady dropped off a beautiful fruit and cheese platter along with a card signed by Alexandra and Anthony. I was so pleased by the gesture, I called the front desk to thank him personally. I saw Alexandra during check out and thanked her for being so kind. It’s little things like this that sets them above the rest. Thanks you both for helping to make this a memorable birthday.
