I'm not sure why there are so many positive reviews for this place. The location is sketchy with weird people walking around. It definitely did not feel safe... Thankfully I had a room on the 3rd floor.

The building was VERY old but was remodeled to appear nice and new.
The thing that grossed me out the most was the smell. It was a mixture of cleaning chemicals, roach spray, and mold. It was disgusting! There was also black mold growing in the bathroom, which is a huge health hazard, especially those recovering from Lyme or mold toxicity. It was not worth $187 per night; $87 would've been an appropriate price.

One positive aspect was that the room had a stove and the HVAC system had excellent ventilation to prevent excessive humidity in the room.

I would advise looking elsewhere to stay.

This hotel is very nice.
Staff was very polite and helpful
When we checked in there was a Latino gentleman. I apologize I forgot his name but he was a very polite and Helpful during check in. He even gave us tips on sightseeing areas.

Next morning an African-American lady
She seemed to be the manager.
She deserves A+ on her managerial skills
We had a small complaint about noisy neighbor during sleeping hours.
She addressed the issue immediately and assured me that it will not happen again.
The remainder of our stay was very pleasant and the midnight noise was not more.

This is listed as a 4-star hotel, but it is clearly not a 4-star hotel. When we pulled up, my fiancée said she didn’t feel safe staying there, given the sketchy surroundings, but I encouraged her to accompany me into the lobby to get a better lay of the land. When we went in, our suspicions were confirmed. This was a case of bait and switch. Travelers beware!

I reserved a room at Candlewood Suites in Safety Harbor 1 month before we could check in. The reservation was with FEMA after Hurricane Milton, so every hotel was packed. I told them from the day that I made this reservation that I have an indoor cat. The administration assistant who took my reservation stated that because of the natural disaster, it would be ok to bring her with me. I got a few emails prior to the date of check-in, saying they were happy we were coming to their hotel. Fast forward 1 month, we checked out of our hotel that was not a FEMA hotel to go to this place. At 4:00 p.m., as we are driving to Candlewood Suites, we get a call from a guy at the front desk informing us that we can not check in with our cat. He told me that he would not check me in if I had my cat with me. They could have called me weeks before so that I could have made other arrangements, but no, they call as we are driving there to check in. I would not recommend this hotel because in the face of a hurricane where we lost everything, they didn't give a shit. The guy who called wasn't very nice. Awful customer service. I will be contacting the corporate office. I guess they had someone else to give my room to. I live in the area and will never recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to visit.

Was a good value for the size of the room. I didn't want to be crammed in a small hotel room for a week while traveling for work, found this hotel at a good price and I am satisfied with my purchase. The building seems a bit dated, but not a deal breaker. It was a bit annoying that the elevator was down my entire stay, but I should probably take the stairs anyways.

Always clean and inviting. Whether your an overnight or extended stay, feels more like apartment than motel room. Laundry machines are free, bring your own supplies or purchase from front desk. Ample snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Clean, modern rooms with lots of amenities like a full size refrigerator, cooking stove, dishes, fitness center, pool, patio, and laundry facilities. It's dog friendly, which is great, but the one down side is there isn't really a good place to walk the dogs.

The room is spacious and well equipped. The location is within an easy walk to good eats and shopping. The service is solid and it is clean. Good bang for buck for too!
