I love Dr. Hesse, she is very knowledgeable, caring and professional. The following comments have nothing to do with her expertise or treatment. I have been a patient for many years (Hollywood location).

The Fort Lauderdale (N Federal Blvd) office needs MAJOR improvements on their communication systems.

On 11/7 I had a visit with the doctor where an at-home sleep study was requested. I was given a specific phone number to call within the South Florida ENT clinic system to order a special device to be mailed to my home and left no less than 10 voicemails without response. Over a month later, I gave up calling their office, and called the 3rd party medical device company directly to order the device.

My at-home sleep apnea study was completed week of 1/1-1/5 and I never received any update or call from anyone. From January until mid March, I continued to call and leave messages at the clinic to find out my test results. I am convinced no one ever checks these messages!

I think it’s wrong to neglect a patient for 3 months and not provide potentially time-sensitive health info and leaving them on their own to persist and pursue answers. THIS IS NEGLIGENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE.

I finally got my results by booking a follow-up appointment on my own which occurred on 3/26. Dr. Hesse, is always a pleasure and very helpful. Luckily, my condition isn’t too severe since no one ever followed up to tell me anything or book another appointment.

Separately, this office can benefit from a little respect of their patients’ schedules and as well as better time management. My appointment was at 12:15pm, but I was not called into the exam room until 2pm, to then wait another 30min to see the doctor. This was the case for EVERYONE sitting in the waiting room: a 1.5-2hr wait regardless of an appointment.

I think this office may be overextended, understaffed, not managed well or a combination of the above.

Nothing against the doctor because I never saw her today. I waited for an hour and 45 minutes. My appointment was at 2:30, I arrived at 2:15. I was a new patient and excited to see the doctor. I got into the room at 2:20 and at about 4:00 I had, had enough. No one came to inform me how backed up the doctor was. I will not be going back due to poor scheduling.

Dr. Hesse listens, took notes, asked pertinent questions, followed up with two other doctors. And requested the actual MRI and CBCT scans for her own diagnosis. I left her office knowing I was in good hands. I am happy I met Dr. Hesse.

This was my first office visit. The office staff and Nurses are really kind. I did not wait long to be seen by Dr. Hesse. She was very down to earth, and took time to really listen to my concerns and questions I immediately felt comfortable, and confident with Doctor Hesse.

I was very impressed by the quality of Dr. Hesse's interaction with patients. I loved the lack of a white coat. The attitude of confidence and the ability to communicate with patients is the true "white coat." Her staff was friendly too. My wait was long but I was late so I think that is on me. The wait was worth it.

The truth is that I have nothing to say about the doctor!!! But the staff coordinating the office is incompetent at enforcing appointment times. Every time I go there is a wait time of no less than an hour and a half or two. And that accompanied by my 11-year-old daughter who is the patient!!! That's a shame . I always arrive on time for my appointments. And even though the others are late with theirs, they make them go in first. And when you complain they only apologize and move on to something else!!! It doesn't seem fair to me at all. I give it one star ⭐️ because there is nothing lower!!!
