After a couple of years of therapy elsewhere, I'm finally ready to write this review. In my opinion, Ute Krantz lacks professionalism and can cause more harm than good with her practices.

She had a habit of checking her phone during sessions. She often shared what her daughter was up to and texting about. At first, I thought it was great that she would place her family before work. In retrospect, I find this dismissive of the client and simply inappropriate.

I had therapy on Saturday mornings. She would occasionally show up late for the appointments. On one Saturday, my appointment was scheduled for 9 am. At 9:09 am I received the following text message:
"I have kind of an unorthodox request. I need to go to the post office. Would you mind having the first part of our session in my car?"

I was baffled. I figured this couldn't be a real request, but a test. I have issues with boundaries and I'm a pleaser by nature. Maybe she was testing how therapy has worked on me? I was still debating how to respond to her when she showed up to the office at 9:15 am, asking if I had received the message. I told her I had, but I wasn't sure if I was comfortable with the request. She said something along the lines of "I thought you would be the most understanding of my clients. I'm just going to have to cancel someone else's appointment then." Way to manipulate an anxious client. Her response froze my brain. At this point, I did not feel comfortable going into her office, but I didn't want to get in her car either. I did not want to disappoint her or have someone else's appointment get canceled. I couldn't see the option of leaving myself, so we took a trip to the post office.

My experience with Ute Krantz left me traumatized and put off by therapists. I expect a therapist to understand how their behavior can negatively impact their client's mental health, and do what is right by the client. Thought that was pretty basic. Therapy is expensive. It should be healing, not cause additional issues.

I had a bad experience with this therapist about 6 months ago. She would get my name wrong during sessions, wouldn't recognize me when she came to bring me back to our office, never remembered what we had previously talked about, etc. She also couldn't remain objective. For example, if I talked about an issue with a friend, she would hear it from the perspective of the friend and would get extremely defensive. She turned me off therapy for a while but I'm happy to say that I've found someone better to work with- I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your needs.

My teen was struggling with her self esteem and other issues. She went from poor grades to A’s &B’s we saw an over all improvement in her mental health. Her self esteem improved and so did her grades! Ute has been a life saver for us. We highly recommend her.

Very unethical. What she told the parents and what she did with the teen were two very different things. Promised the parents one thing to their face and then underminded them in her time with the teen. Thankfully, out teen was honest with us about the sessions. I urge you to find someone else.

I’ve only had one session thus far but Ms. Ute seems to be someone who strives to help others. I felt heard and validated during our first session. I look forward to working with her.

I can't understand how a therapist would be on her cell phone and lap top (during onion) while being with a client. Never felt so unimportant
